Rule and regulation changes took effect January 1, 2019, resulting in a new online process for authorization of dues for labor organizations. Current authorizations in the payroll system will be in effect after January 1, but new authorizations after January 1, 2019 must be handled using employee self-service.
Employees will have two options for authorizations: (1) logging in themselves to the HR Self-Service Gateway or (2) calling the MI HR Service Center, which can process transactions on behalf of employees. The new process will allow contemporaneous notice by email to labor organizations regarding changes to authorizations.
